Overview

A well-respected South Wales firm is looking for a lawyer to join the expanding commercial department at their Newport office. The firm is happy to offer hybrid working for this role once the successful applicant has settled in and actively encourages a healthy work/life balance for their staff.

Responsibilities
  • Assist in a variety of company and commercial matters for both individual and corporate clients, including asset acquisition/sale, share acquisition/sale, shareholder agreements, and company formations.
  • Contribute to a supportive, career development–oriented team environment.
Qualifications
  • Ideally seeking candidates who are NQ to 2 years' PQE in commercial law.
  • The firm is also open to paralegals who are looking for a training contract or to qualify via SQE (preferred).
  • Paralegals who are not locally based and are prepared to relocate will be considered. Applicants for a training contract/SQE must have a minimum of 1 year’s recent experience in commercial law and LPC qualification.
  • The office is in a semi-rural setting, so own transport is essential.
  • The role is full-time and permanent; salary is negotiable depending on experience, with guidance around 40k for an NQ candidate.
