- AsOperations Manager, you will be the engine that keeps syd life AI running smoothly across functions. You’ll work closely with the CEO, product, commercial growth, and tech teams to translate strategy into execution — setting up systems, removing friction, and ensuring we operate like a high-performance machine. This is a role for someone who thrives in ambiguity, solves problems before they’re problems, and is hands-on
- Design, implement, and optimise internal processes across teams (product, tech, commercial growth, customer success, partnerships, legal, finance)
- Manage key projects end-to-end — from planning and stakeholder alignment to execution and delivery
- Support international rollouts, pilots, and launches with universities, insurers, corporates and government partners
- Manage and improve our OKR system across the company, supporting each team member in formulating and achieving their OKRs while driving overall team performance
- Set up and maintain tracking systems and operational dashboards to drive accountability and clarity
- Plan and run our quarterly offsites end-to-end, delivering tangible outcomes and driving strategic alignment
- Support hiring, onboarding, and team operations as we scale
- Own special projects — every week will look a little different
- Assist the CEO in executing strategic projects and managing key priorities
- Build and maintain strong relationships with external stakeholders, partners, and collaborators
Who you are
- 2+ years of experiencein operations, project management, or generalist roles at a high-growth startup (ideally in AI, digital health, or deep tech)
- Strong execution and analytical skills— you get things done and know how to measure impact
- Comfort with chaos— you’re calm, focused, and adaptive when things change quickly (they will)
- Excellent communication (written, verbal, and cross-cultural)
- A Bachelor of Science degree in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics), Business, Finance, or other relevant disciplines

Desirable
- Prior exposure to or experience with the implementation and use of OKRs in a team or organisational context

- Background in consulting, data analytics, or systems thinking
- Proficiency with Google Suite (specifically Google Sheets), Figma, and Asana
- Japanese language proficiency (not required, but helpful)
