Job summary

NES Fircroft is recruiting an Occupational Hygienist in Norwich for graduates or juniors with 1–3 years' experience. You'll develop your career across hygiene disciplines in the energy sector, gaining exposure to monitoring, COSHH, noise, asbestos, radiation protection and PPE considerations.

The role supports a structured Occupational Hygiene development programme and progression toward BOHS Certificate of Operational Competence in Occupational Hygiene.

Qualifications

• Ideal for Graduate/Junior level candidates with 1–3 years' experience in Occupational Hygiene.
• Candidate working towards BOHS qualifications will be considered favourably.
• Interest in health, safety and occupational hygiene within energy sector.

Responsibilities

• Gain hands-on experience across a wide range of Occupational Hygiene disciplines.
• Exposure monitoring, chemical exposure monitoring and noise assessment.
• Asbestos management, radiation protection and PPE/RPE considerations.
• Support workplace health risk assessments and hygiene audits/inspections.

NES Fircroft is recruiting an Occupational Hygienist to join a leading Oil & Gas Operator based in Norwich.

• Ideal for Graduate / Junior level candidates (1–3 years' experience)

This is a fantastic opportunity to gain hands‑on experience across a wide range of Occupational Hygiene disciplines while working as part of our clients UK's Occupational Hygiene and Human Factors programme.

The role will give you exposure to areas including:

• Workplace exposure monitoring
• COSHH and hazardous substance management
• Chemical exposure monitoring
• Noise and vibration
• Asbestos management
• Radiation protection
• PPE and RPE
• Ergonomics, DSE and manual handling
• Occupational Hygiene audits and inspections
• Workplace health risk assessments

You’ll also have the opportunity to complete a structured Occupational Hygiene development programme, supporting your progression towards achieving the BOHS Certificate of Operational Competence in Occupational Hygiene.

We’re keen to hear from candidates who have completed a BOHS‑accredited degree, are working towards relevant BOHS qualifications, or have gained early‑career experience within Occupational Hygiene.

Oil & Gas experience would be beneficial, but this is not essential.
