We have a fantastic new job opportunity for a Junior NPD Technologist / Graduate Food Technologist who has a food related degree and keen to develop their career within the food industry.

Working as the Junior NPD Technologist / Graduate Food Technologist you will gain hands-on experience across the full product development lifecycle, from concept creation through to factory trials and product launch.

As the Junior NPD Technologist / Graduate Food Technologist you will work closely with the NPD Manager and wider technical team to support the delivery of both new and existing product development projects, ensuring they meet customer expectations, quality standards, and operational requirements.

This is an excellent opportunity for a food science graduate or entry-level food technologist who is looking to develop a career in food innovation and product development. You will play an active role in trial preparation, recipe formulation, and product testing, while also building relationships with customers, suppliers, and colleagues across the business. DUTIES
  • Project Support: Assist the NPD Manager in the development, testing, and successful launch of both new product development (NPD) and existing product development (EPD) projects
  • Documentation: Prepare and complete recipe sheets, trial reports, and pre-production documentation accurately and on time
  • Factory Trials: Support with factory trials, pre-productions, and product launches, ensuring smooth execution and compliance with project requirements
  • Product Testing: Oversee cooking validations, organoleptic testing, and freeze testing in collaboration with the NPD Assistant
  • Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong working relationships with internal teams, suppliers, and customers to support project delivery
  • Compliance: Work in line with all company health & safety standards and standard operating procedures (SOPs)
  • Computer Skills: Use Microsoft Office confidently to support reporting, data entry, and project documentation
