Full Job Specification

Your primary focus will be to provide support to FluidOne’s customer base and the Network Engineering team.

This job would be perfect for someone with some networking experience looking for a new challenge and also presents itself as a fantastic opportunity for someone looking for a break into the IT industry. With focus on connectivity and networking, you will be fully supported and trained to gain the knowledge and skills required to reach your potential within this role, opening doors for progression within our expanding company.

Network Engineering Tasks
  1. Configure equipment at the Colgate office to be sent to customer sites
  2. Provide remote support for engineers calling in to connect routers into customer sites
  3. Liaise with the NOC to configure hardware replacement devices in a time critical manner
  4. Test returned equipment to verify if it is still usable

General
  1. Ensuring all tasks are completed in a timely manner and within defined KPIs, OLAs and SLAs
  2. Adhering to quality communication standards defined by FluidOne.
  3. Adhering to FluidOne’s Security and Data Protection and confidentiality Clauses
  4. Undertaking any other duties deemed suitable by management.
  5. Maintaining job related training as required by management.

Experience / Qualifications: Essential:
  1. Demonstrates excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  2. Demonstrates good organisational skills.
  3. Has a strong enthusiasm for technology and delivering world class customer service.
  4. Is a strong team player.

Desirable
  1. Awareness of OSI model.
  2. Awareness of ITIL framework.
  3. Awareness of WAN/MPLS technologies.
  4. Previous networking experience.
