Job summary

Avanti Recruitment is partnering with a Central London software company to recruit a Graduate or Junior Developer. The role involves building on a Java microservices platform, with .NET as the primary language while also using Java, TypeScript and React for frontend work, all deployed on Kubernetes.

The successful candidate will have a 2:1 or higher in Computer Science and strong .NET skills, with a willingness to learn across the stack.

Qualifications

• Strong .NET experience.
• 2:1 or above in Computer Science degree.
• Desirable: Kubernetes, Java, TypeScript, frontend experience.
• 1–3 years of commercial experience in the financial sector preferred.
• Interview process includes video call and a 60–90 minute in-person coding session.

Avanti Recruitment is working with a software company based in Central London that is a leading global supplier of financial reporting software. The company is now looking for a Graduate or Junior Developer.

The company has been running for over 20 years and their software has helped to redefine the financial reporting landscape. They are working with some of the world's largest regulators and enterprise organisations such as HMRC, the Bank of England, and Barclays. They currently work across 26 different countries, and in the UK alone, their technology has processed over 2 trillion in UK taxes.

You will be working on a Java Microservices-based platform which will be delivering applications to a range of customers around the world. You will be working with .NET as the main language, however you will also use Java, TypeScript and React for the front-end development and built on Kubernetes.

Skills required:

• Strong .NET experience
• 2:1 or above in Computer Science degree

Desirable:

• Commercial experience within the financial sector
• Ideally have 1-3 years of commercial experience

Interview process:

1. 30-minute video call, typically includes a technical challenge in addition to a CV discussion
2. 60-90 minute interview (face to face preferable), this will consist of a programming exercise on a whiteboard and a broader discussion of your aspirations and ambitions

This role will require you to work in the office 3 days per week.

The salary on offer for this position is up to 45,000 + discretionary bonus.
