Job summary

Avanti Recruitment is working with a software company based in Central London that is a leading global supplier of financial reporting software. They are now looking for a Graduate or Junior Developer to join their team.

You will be working on a Java Microservices-based platform, with .NET as the main language and Java/TypeScript/React for the frontend, all built on Kubernetes. The role requires you to work in the office 3 days per week, and the salary on offer is up to £45,000 plus

Qualifications

• 2:1 or above in Computer Science.
• Strong .NET experience required.
• Desirable Java and frontend TypeScript/React knowledge.
• Commercial experience in financial sector is a plus.
• Ideally 1–3 years of commercial experience.

Responsibilities

• Work on a Java microservices platform delivering applications to global customers.
• Collaborate with .NET as the main language while using Java, TypeScript and React for frontend.
• Operate within a Kubernetes-based environment.
• Contribute to projects as a Graduate/Junior Developer.
• Participate in interviews and onboarding activities.

Avanti Recruitment is working with a software company based in Central London that is a leading global supplier of financial reporting software. The company is now looking for a Graduate or Junior Developer.

The company has been running for over 20 years and their software has helped to redefine the financial reporting landscape. They are working with some of the world's largest regulators and enterprise organisations such as HMRC, the Bank of England, and Barclays. They currently work across 26 different countries, and in the UK alone, their technology has processed over 2 trillion in UK taxes.

You will be working on a Java Microservices-based platform which will be delivering applications to a range of customers around the world. You will be working with .NET as the main language, however you will also use Java, TypeScript and React for the front-end development and built on Kubernetes.

Skills required:

• Strong .NET experience
• 2:1 or above in Computer Science degree

Desirable:

• Kubernetes
• Java
• TypeScript / Frontend experience
• Commercial experience within the financial sector
• Ideally have 1-3 years of commercial experience

Interview process:

1. 30-minute video call, typically includes a technical challenge in addition to a CV discussion
2. 60-90 minute interview (face to face preferable), this will consist of a programming exercise on a whiteboard and a broader discussion of your aspirations and ambitions

This role will require you to work in the office 3 days per week.

The salary on offer for this position is up to 45,000 + discretionary bonus.
