First Recruitment Group is seeking a Junior Naval Architect on a contract basis in Bristol to support the design and development of high-speed marine craft, contributing to specifications and producing 3D CAD models using Rhino3D.

Responsibilities include stability and weight/power estimates, as well as delivering high-quality technical reports within tight deadlines to support project objectives.

Qualifikationen

• Degree in Naval Architecture or Mechanical Engineering.
• Bachelor's degree preferred; alternative qualifications considered with equivalent experience.
• 1+ years of demonstrable high-speed craft design experience.
• Recent experience (within 5 years) developing specifications for marine vehicles.
• Technical experience with high-speed craft.
• Experience of 3D arrangement CAD modelling.
• Competence using Rhino3D.
• Experience of small boat sizing studies.

Aufgaben

• Carry out high-speed craft design and development activities.
• Develop specifications and requirements for marine vehicles.
• Produce and maintain 3D arrangement CAD models.
• Conduct small boat sizing studies.
• Apply Rhino3D to support vessel design and development activities.
• Support high-speed craft sizing studies and concept evaluations.
• Undertake stability modelling and assessment activities.
• Contribute to pre-concept engineering design studies.
• Perform weight and power estimating activities.
• Produce high-quality technical reports within challenging timescales.
• Present clear conclusions and recommendations based on technical assessments and studies.
