University of Exeter IT Services is hiring Agentic AI Engineers across grades D to F, offering hybrid work with campus and home days. Internal applicants are welcome, with salaries starting from £30,878 (grade D) up to £43,482 (grade F) subject to experience.

3x Agentic AI Engineer roles from Junior through to Senior level. (Grades D, E or F)

We currently have 3 positions available within IT Services across grades D, E and F. These full‑time posts are available from September 2026 on a fixed term basis for 6 months and offer the opportunity for hybrid working – some time on campus and some from home.
This position could be an opportunity for an internal secondment, subject to agreement from your current line manager.
The starting salary will be from £30,878 per annum on grade D, from £33,951 per annum on grade E and from £43,482 per annum on grade F, subject to knowledge, skills and experience.

As an Agentic AI Engineer, you will work on the design, development, and optimisation of AI and agentic applications that enhance productivity, streamline services, and enrich education and research. You’ll work collaboratively across education, research, and operations, delivering initiatives aligned with our Enabling AI Strategy and AI Policy.
