Job summary

Space NK is seeking a Junior Merchandiser (Own Brand) at our Head Office to own planning and trading, drive sales through stock planning and intake management, and deliver in-depth stock and sales analysis daily, weekly and seasonally.

You will forecast sales by brand and department, manage WSSI and OTB, ensure stock availability across A-C SKUs, coordinate with vendors, and partner with Buying, Trading and Inventory teams to optimise product flow and performance.

Qualifications

• Excellent Excel skills.
• Experience of multi-brand business; luxury brands is desirable, Advanced Excel skills.

Responsibilities

• Own sales forecasting at brand and department level.
• Own and manage the WSSI and OTB process.
• Ensure stock replenishment maintains high availability across A-C graded SKUs.
• Oversee the MAA with raising POs.
• Manage stock intake per department/brand levels; mitigate risks.
• Collaborate with Inventory Merchants to ensure stock flow through DC.
• Identify inventory liabilities and liaise with vendors to resolve.
• Oversee AM ranging SKUs for initial allocations by store.

Junior Merchandiser (Own Brand) - Head Office

The purpose of this position is to own the planning and trading of the department/s, driving sales through effective stock planning and intake management, store analysis, as well as in-depth daily, weekly, and seasonal stock and sales analysis.

Stock Management

• Own sales forecasting at brand and department level.
• Own and manage the WSSI and OTB process
• Ensure stock replenishment is maintained to drive sales and deliver optimum product availability, working towards 98% availability across A-C graded SKUs
• Oversee the MAA with raising POs
• Manage the intake of stock in line with agreed department & brand stock levels to maximise sales potential, suggesting ways to mitigate any risks
• Working closing with the Inventory Merchandisers to ensure department & brand stock flow through the DC
• Identify department & brand specific inventory liabilities and work with vendors to resolve
• Oversee AM ranging SKUs for initial allocation of product by store in line with business requirements.
• Linking of new SKU to existing SKUs for allocations in AGR

Trading

• Prepare weekly trade summaries of KPIs within departments of responsibility to the B&M team, providing key insights on the best/worst sellers to influence stock and trading decisions
• Analyse sales at all product levels, identifying trends, opportunities for growth and highlighting potential risks to the Merchandiser
• Provide analysis for the success of promos and events
• Conduct ad-hoc analysis as required on specific products/product groups
• Assist in the generation of markdown proposals and analysis

Merchandising Systems

• Develop excellent working knowledge of all Merchandising systems, NAV, AGR, Qlikview, Qliksense
• Action detailed data integrity checks as necessary to ensure the efficient running of the department e.g. product lifecycle status and hierarchy accuracy

Management, Training And Development

• Develop and build strong relationships and networks with cross functional partners both internally and externally, Buying, Trading, Marketing, Inventory Merch, Brands as well as external suppliers.
• Take responsibility for own personal development
• Assist in the development and training of the AM

(Please note that the category that this role sits within will be Own Brand owning both Private Label and Multi Brand Projects such as Advent and Edits)

Qualifications, Knowledge and Experience

• Excellent Excel skills
• Experience of multi brand business; luxury brands is highly desirable Advanced Excel skills
• Knowledge of a multi-channel business, stores, and ecommerce ideal
