Job summary

We’re working with a well-established fashion retailer who are looking to recruit a commercially minded and analytical Junior Merchandiser to join their Merchandising team. You’ll support planning, trading and performance of a varied product range, ensuring the right products are available at the right time to maximise sales and profitability.

Qualifications

• Experience in fashion merchandising within a retail environment.
• Strong analytical, numerical and data interpretation skills.
• Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities

• Support development and delivery of merchandising plans to hit sales, stock, intake and profit targets.
• Work with buyers to build balanced product ranges aligned with brand strategy.
• Prepare and maintain sales, stock, intake and profit plans and space/option plans.
• Monitor weekly sales and stock performance; identify trends and opportunities.
• Assist in-season trading decisions including stock levels, reiterations and markdowns.
• Help manage merchandising KPIs to maximise profitability.
• Collaborate with suppliers and internal teams to monitor deliveries and intake targets.
• Coordinate with stock distribution to ensure availability meets demand.
• Analyse market trends and customer behaviour to inform range planning.
• Use forecasting and reporting tools to support decisions.
