Talent Acquisition Manager at The V&A Museum

The V&A is looking for a Junior Merchandiser of Homeware and Ecommerce to join our busy Retail team.

In conjunction with the Head of Merchandising and Senior Merchandiser, to potentialise sales in all branches through cost efficiencies, effective stock ordering and delivery management. To respond directly to sales analysis and deadlines provided and agreed by Head of Merchandising and Senior Merchandiser.

1. Potentialise sales in all branches, responding directly to sales analysis and deadlines

2.To be aware of sales performance, key driving areas and best + worst selling lines, in store and online. To review sales and react to performance in store and online.

3. Provide regular weekly reports to update and maintain the weekly performance pack, generate and distributing reports for the Retail Department. Instore and Online as required.

4. Drive sales instore and to be involved in regular shop visits.

5. Support sales online and be aware of wider eCommerce trends and best practice. 6. plan and organize stock reservations for the eCommerce site.

6.Help facilitate effective communication between the Retail team and the Ecommerce team,

7. support the planning of stock for online promotions, forecasting stock buys, planning journey through to allocation/clearance.

8.Manage ranges, use analysis to propose trading action and promotional activity

9. Forecast all online ranges, present information and manage an Online product Bible and manage the transfer of product info to the online platform

10. Manage a large supplier base with effective communication and efficiency

11. Participate in the ongoing development of the retail and Ecom systems

What we are looking for:

• Minimum 2 years experience as an assistant Merchandiser in a retail Environment

• Experience of Merchandising for Ecommerce, driving sales and managing stock

• Experience and in depth knowledge of merchandising practice

• The ability to work flexibly and to a high level of performance, to support a busy team.

• Genuine passion and enthusiasm for retail

• High levels of customer focus, multitasking and accuracy

• Ability to cope well under pressure and deliver to deadline

• Strong numerical and communication skills (including an Excellent command of English both spoken and written)

• Strong IT literacy, including proficiency in Word and Excel.
