Job Description:

We're looking for a Junior Merchandiser to join our Product Team.

Our Junior Merchandiser will support the day-to-day running of the department, working alongside Merchandisers, Buyers, and Designers to create balanced & exciting ranges for the Adanola brand. You will help ensure we have the right stock, in the right place, at the right time!

Responsibilities include:

• Collaborating with Buyer & Designer to develop and implement a profit-focused strategy.
• Delivering a commercial and profitable range relevant to the Adanola customer globally, considering OTB, options, and pricing.
• Setting and delivering key KPI’s at category, line, and attribute levels, ensuring efficient stock management to optimize sales and minimize obsolete stock.
• Maintaining department forecasting tools and planning documents, highlighting risks or opportunities vs. plan, and coordinating next steps with Heads of Product.
• Managing OTB, manipulating intake at the category level, and proposing airing/phasing strategies to meet department targets.
• Trading the department in-season, identifying risks and opportunities, and proposing solutions.
• Driving trade meetings, updating performance, and communicating actions to management.
• Refining and improving processes within the department.
• Understanding product critical path to meet merchandising deadlines and avoid delays.
• Building strong strategic supplier partnerships with regular forecasts.
• Leading, motivating, and developing a high-performing, happy, and successful team.
• Collaborating with cross-functional teams to develop strong working relationships.

Leadership qualities:

• Setting clear expectations and creating a shared purpose.
• Adapting leadership style to engage and motivate the team.
• Providing regular, balanced feedback and addressing issues proactively.

Candidate requirements:

• Multiple years of experience in successful merchandising teams within the fashion industry, as a Junior or Senior Assistant Merchandiser.
• Ability to identify problems and seek support from Heads of Product.
• Commercially astute with creativity and brand alignment.
• Leadership and motivational skills.
• Growth mindset with positivity and development focus.
• Ability to build effective relationships with internal stakeholders and external partners.
• Team player and adaptable to change.
