Job description

A well-established and reputable Ecommerce Homewares Store is looking to add a Junior Merchandiser to their team. This role would suit someone who is already in a junior position or an assistant merchandiser ready to take the next step in their career. The company trades online with high-quality fabrics across a range of finished products including curtains, throws, bedding, towels, loungewear, and home decorations.


Job Specification
  1. Updating of line cards and forecasts
  2. Liaising with factories and Product Team to ensure shipment dates are met for ongoing and new lines
  3. Support the Merchandising team and suggest improvements
  4. Manage stock intake within given stock turn targets
  5. Manage own stock to maximise availability
  6. Rolling up container fills
  7. Collate sales and stock availability across multiple sales channels
  8. Raising of orders in Sage
  9. Updating of reports for the department
  10. Administrative duties as required
Essential Skills
  1. Minimum of 1 years experience in a Merchandising role
  2. Currently working as a Senior Assistant Merchandiser, Junior Merchandiser or similar
  3. Able to work on complex data sets and forecasting
  4. Advanced Excel skills
  5. Forecasting skills
  6. Inquisitive, analytical mind and strong communication skills
  7. Attention to detail
  8. Enthusiastic & able to work cooperatively with different departments
  9. Able to work in a busy environment and meet deadlines whilst attention to detail is paramount
  10. Experience of working with Far East factories and understanding of importing and the challenges faced - ideal
  11. Critical Path management - ideal
  12. Experience of online trading
