Job description

Junior Merchandiser

Location: Leicester
Office Based role
Salary: £23k - £25k (Depending on experience)

Our client - a rapidly growing manufacturing and distribution business based in Leicester, is looking for an experienced import merchandiser who can excel in a fast-paced work environment, demonstrating exceptional problem-solving abilities and acute attention to detail.

Primary Responsibilities:
  1. Coordinating with various offices and factories to manage tight production schedules.
  2. Interacting with customers and fabric suppliers to handle lab dips, strike-off approvals, and bulk deliveries.
  3. Oversight of the critical path to ensure timely production.
  4. Handling in-house purchase orders, including the management and tracking of these orders.
  5. Maintain the tracker of samples and components dispatched weekly to each factory.
  6. Ensure weekly production plans are received from the factories.
  7. Ensure the weekly production plans are updated and sent to the customer.
  8. Arrange freight import quotes and monitor progress.
Qualifications and Skills:
  1. A minimum of two years of experience in a similar working environment.
  2. Effective communication skills, ability to thrive under pressure, and a can-do attitude.
  3. Strong problem-solving capabilities and the capacity to adapt to new systems and processes.
  4. Proficiency in IT and Excel.
