Job summary

TRP Recruitment Limited is seeking an Assistant Menswear Garment Technologist to join a close-knit technical team in a fashion business. The role is ideal for a recent graduate or someone at the start of their garment technology career with a genuine interest in menswear and a proactive attitude.

You will focus on sample management, measurements, and supporting the Senior Garment Technologist, ensuring samples are processed accurately and ready for fit sessions within a collaborative environment.

Qualifications

• A recent graduate in garment technology, fashion technology or related discipline, or someone with early career experience in a technical role.
• Experience measuring garment samples and a good understanding of garment construction and pattern cutting.
• Strong attention to detail with excellent organisation and time management skills.
• Proficient in Excel and Outlook with strong communication skills.
• Proactive, calm under pressure and keen to learn within a close-knit team environment.

Responsibilities

• Receiving and prioritising samples in line with delivery dates and deadlines
• Measuring garment samples accurately and preparing them for fit sessions
• Processing relevant workbooks and maintaining accurate technical records
• Supporting the Senior Garment Technologist with day-to-day workload and technical administration
• Maintaining organised sample storage and tracking systems
• Attending fit sessions as experience develops and taking fit notes under guidance
• Supporting the creation of fit comments following feedback
• Assisting with additional technical tasks as required by the wider team
