CBW Staffing Solutions are proud to be recruiting for a Junior Mechanical Engineer to join a leading FM service provider at a large, high-profile site in Whitechapel, East London. This is a fantastic opportunity for mechanically qualified individuals looking to develop hands-on experience in a commercial building environment.
Whether you prefer a Monday–Friday schedule or a 4 on 4 off days and nights shift pattern, this role offers flexibility, excellent training, and a clear pathway for career progression — all while working alongside a skilled on-site engineering team.
Available Work Patterns Option 1: Monday to Friday
- Hours: 08:00 – 17:00
- Salary: Up to £37,000
- 25 days holiday + bank holidays
Option 2: 4 on 4 off (Days & Nights)
- Hours: 07:00 – 19:00 / 19:00 – 07:00
- Salary: Up to £42,000
- 20 days holiday

What You’ll Be Doing
- Assisting with mechanical maintenance and building services tasks
- Performing repairs, servicing, and replacements on HVAC equipment
- Conducting routine checks (fire alarms, emergency lighting, plant rooms)
- Supporting with BMS monitoring, pumps, motors, AHUs, and FCUs
- Maintaining accurate site logbooks
- Working closely with the wider engineering team
- Learning best practices and expanding technical knowledge
What You’ll Need
- Level 3 qualification in a mechanical discipline
- A strong desire to learn and grow in the FM/building services industry
- Some experience in commercial maintenance (basic experience welcome)
- Good communication skills and team mentality
- Proof of qualifications and right to work in the UK
- Positive, proactive attitude and a genuine interest in a long-term engineering career
