Job summary

Owen Daniels is seeking a Junior Mechanical Design Engineer to join their team in Woking. The role is permanent and full-time, onsite with a 37.5 hour week.

You will contribute to design stages, produce concept models and drawings, and work with manufacturing drawings for welded fabrication, sheet metal and machined components. Ideal candidates have a relevant engineering degree and at least 2 years of mechanical design experience, with strong Inventor skills.

Qualifications

• 2 years’ of mechanical/design engineering experience; able to take projects from concept to completion.
• Strong knowledge of Inventor or similar CAD tools.
• Capable of producing and reviewing technical drawings and assemblies.

Responsibilities

• Ensuring timely delivery of design project stages.
• Producing concept models and drawings for customer approval and quotations using Autodesk Inventor.
• Creating manufacturing drawings for welded fabrication, sheet metal and machined components.

Essential Skills & Experience

• 2 years’ of experience in mechanical/design engineering, with a proven track record of delivering projects from initial concept through to completion.
• Holder of a relevant engineering degree or qualification.
• Strong knowledge of Inventor or similar.
• Confident producing and reviewing technical drawings and mechanical assemblies
• Working knowledge of production techniques including welding, fabrication, sheet metal and machined components.
