Job Description

What will you be doing?

Are you a creative and detail-driven Mechanical Design Engineer looking to work on nuclear cutting-edge engineering solutions? This role puts you at the centre of developing high-performance mechanical systems across a technically complex and rewarding project.

Your main responsibilities will be:

• Creating and developing 3D models and detailed drawings using Inventor and Siemens NX.
• Managing design data, assemblies, and BOMs using Teamcenter, PLM, and PDM systems.
• Supporting full product development lifecycle: from concept and prototyping to final design and release.
• Ensuring design tolerances and documentation meet compliance with industry standards.
• Collaborating closely with cross-functional teams including manufacturing, procurement, and test.
• Participating in design reviews, change management processes, and continuous improvement initiatives.

Qualifications

Experience, skills and qualifications required:

• Degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline.
• Proven experience with Inventor and/or Siemens NX for 3D modelling and assemblies, or proficiency with other packages.
• Proficient in PLM/PDM systems (such as Teamcenter or similar).
• Strong understanding of mechanical design principles, GD&T, and DFM/DFA best practices.
• Comfortable working in fast-paced, highly regulated environments (e.g., aerospace, defence, nuclear, or automotive).
