Are you a recent mechanical engineering graduate or early in your career and looking for variety in your role? We are hiring on behalf of a well-established British manufacturer based in Leicester. This is a rare opportunity that combines mechanical design, applications support, and field service engineering—ideal for someone who enjoys CAD work and hands-on mechanical problem-solving on-site.

The role:

• Create 3D models and detailed engineering drawings (SolidWorks or similar)
• Adapt designs to meet specific customer applications
• Provide field-based support including system installation, commissioning, and servicing
• Troubleshoot and resolve mechanical issues at customer sites
• Collaborate closely with production, sales, and technical teams
• Assist in testing and validating new designs

The candidate:

• Degree or HND in Mechanical Engineering (or similar)
• Some CAD design experience (academic or industry)
• A hands-on approach with strong mechanical aptitude
• Excellent communication skills and a customer-focused mindset
• Willingness to travel across the UK (company van provided)
• Knowledge of SolidWorks
• A full UK driving license
