Job Title: Marketplace Account Manager

Job Summary: We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Marketplace Account Manager to join our dynamic and fast-growing team. As a Marketplace Account Manager, you will be responsible for managing all phases of the account lifecycle including project scope, client requirements, design, implementation, testing, deployment, and post-deployment. Your primary focus will be on driving sales, increasing brand visibility, and maintaining positive relationships with marketplace platforms and clients. The ideal candidate has a strong understanding of Marketplaces including Amazon UK, EU, and US, and ideally Walmart, with a proven track record of managing successful marketplace accounts.

Responsibilities:

  1. Account Management: Manage and optimise our client’s presence on multiple online marketplaces, ensuring accurate and up-to-date product listings, pricing, and inventory levels.
  2. Sales Growth: Develop and implement strategies to increase sales performance on marketplaces, including promotions, PPC advertising campaigns, and product positioning.
  3. Marketplace Relationships: Build and maintain strong relationships with marketplace platforms, resolving issues, and staying up to date with marketplace policies and trends.
  4. Performance Analysis: Monitor and analyse marketplace performance metrics, such as sales, conversion rates, and customer feedback, and identify opportunities for improvement.
  5. Content Optimisation: Optimise product listings with compelling descriptions, images, and keywords to enhance visibility and maximise conversions.
  6. Client Support: Provide excellent client support, promptly responding to inquiries, addressing concerns, and resolving issues to ensure a positive client relationship.
  7. Competitive Analysis: Conduct regular competitive analysis to stay informed about market trends, competitor strategies, and pricing dynamics to maintain a competitive edge.
  8. Reporting: Prepare regular reports and presentations on marketplace performance, trends, and key insights to share with the client and management team.

Requirements:

  • At least 2 years proven experience in managing online marketplaces, preferably in an agency, retail, or e-commerce environment.
  • Strong understanding of e-commerce platforms and marketplace dynamics.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to effectively engage with customers and marketplace platforms.
  • Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret data and derive actionable insights.
  • Results-oriented with a track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets.
  • Proficiency in using marketplace management tools and analytics platforms.
  • Ability to multitask, prioritise, and work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Detail-oriented with excellent organisational skills.
