Job Description

We are seeking a Junior Manufacturing Engineer for process development, build development, and transition to manufacturing of complex mechanical assemblies. This key role requires cross-functional effectiveness both internally and externally with the project team, customers, suppliers, and partners.

How will you make an impact as a Junior Manufacturing Engineer:
  • Develop and maintain bill of materials, line layout, production control methods, clear assembly instructions, fixtures, and pFMEA’s
  • Plan, conduct, and execute pre-production builds with a vision for volume production
  • Work collaboratively with engineering team to develop robust, production-ready designs
  • Consult with suppliers to determine product specifications, working with supply chain team to purchase equipment, materials, and parts
  • Interface with manufacturing partners for all stages of design transfer to ensure products meet performance criteria and deliver quality products on time
Skills you need to be successful:
  • BS in Mechanical Engineering or Manufacturing Engineering
  • 0-3 years’ experience in manufacturing environments, preferably in regulated environments
  • Experience setting up manufacturing assembly lines with scalability for ramp-up
  • Knowledge of component forming processes, assembly processes, and production line optimization
  • Understanding of Lean Manufacturing Principles
  • Experience with CAD software
  • Experience with electromechanical assembly
  • Experience with design for manufacturability and design transfer
  • Passionate about understanding how things work and solving tough technical problems
  • Strong communication and time management skills
