Job summary

Red Bull Technology in Milton Keynes seeks a Junior Manual Machinist (Chassis) to support manual machining processes and ensure high-quality components meet standards and delivery dates. You will assist with setups, tooling changes, and workshop tasks while developing toward full competence in manual machining.

The role offers exposure to a fast-paced motorsport environment, focus on quality, and opportunities for on-the-job training and career progression within a championship-winning Formula 1

Qualifications

• Interest in engineering, manufacturing or machining.
• Some experience from college, apprenticeship or coursework is beneficial.
• Exposure to XYZ milling machines and lathes is advantageous but not required.
• Ability to read and understand basic engineering drawings.
• Good attention to detail and willingness to learn.
• Basic understanding of measuring equipment and inspection techniques.
• Positive attitude, good communication, and strong work ethic.

Responsibilities

• Learn to set and operate manual machine tools, including XYZ milling machines and lathes, under supervision.
• Carry out machining operations safely and efficiently while developing machining principles, tooling and workholding methods.
• Use measuring equipment to inspect components and ensure they meet drawings.
• Interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and manufacturing instructions to produce components to standard.
• Support machinists with machine setups, tooling changes and workshop tasks.
• Complete production documentation and administrative tasks as required.
• Develop understanding of quality requirements and perform inspections before final inspection.
• Participate in training to progress toward becoming a fully competent Manual Machinist.
