Job summary

Rise Technical Recruitment Ltd is seeking a Junior Maintenance Engineer for a days-based role in the Bury area. You will support the maintenance team with fault finding, servicing and routine checks on electrical and mechanical machinery, under supervision.

With an NVQ Level 2 in engineering and a keen desire to learn, you will receive extensive training and clear progression toward a fully-fledged Maintenance Engineer, plus overtime to boost earnings.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 2 in engineering or above is required.
• Willingness to learn and develop hands-on maintenance skills.
• Able to commute to Bury and surrounding areas.

Responsibilities

• Assist with fault finding, servicing and maintenance of machinery.
• Support pre-planned maintenance, servicing and repairs.
• Learn and apply maintenance procedures under supervision.
• Work with experienced engineers to develop skills.

Do you hold an NVQ Level 2 or above in an engineering discipline and want to develop your career in maintenance, with extensive training and progression to become a fully‑fledged Maintenance Engineer?

This is a fantastic opportunity to join a successful business in a junior role, building your technical skills through hands‑on training while supporting maintenance and repairs on a variety of machinery.

This growing company has multiple sites around the UK and offers extensive training at its main site in Bury, with the opportunity to develop your knowledge of a wide variety of machinery and systems and take on greater responsibility as your skills grow.

In this days‑based role, you will work alongside experienced members of the maintenance team, learning to fault‑find and assisting with pre‑planned maintenance, servicing and repairs on electrical and mechanical machinery, with support and supervision appropriate to your experience.

The role would suit someone with an NVQ Level 2 or above in an engineering discipline who is keen to learn and progress into a fully‑fledged Maintenance Engineer role. You will benefit from a Monday‑Friday days‑based position, plenty of training and opportunities to increase your earnings through overtime.

The Role:

• Assisting with fault finding, servicing and maintenance of machinery alongside experienced engineers
• Days‑based role - Monday‑Friday 8:00am - 5:00pm
• £33,000 - £35,000

The Person:

• NVQ Level 2 minimum in an engineering discipline
• Previous experience working in an industrial or manufacturing environment
