Job Title: Junior M&E Quantity Surveyor
Location: Leeds Office
Salary: £30,000 - £40,000 (depending on experience)
Working Hours: 40 hours per week

Our client is a well-established Building Services contractor, delivering high-quality mechanical and electrical (M&E) projects across the Commercial, Industrial, Sports Stadiums, Warehousing, and Office sectors. With project values ranging from £100,000 to £12 million and a turnover of £30 million, they are known for combining technical expertise with a client-first mentality.
Due to ongoing growth, they are now seeking a Junior M&E Quantity Surveyor to join their expanding Leeds team.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to break into or progress within the M&E sector. The Junior M&E Quantity Surveyor will assist in the commercial management of various mechanical and electrical projects, working closely within the QS team and reporting to the Commercial Manager.
Candidates from general construction, civil engineering, or residential sectors are encouraged to apply - full training and development will be provided to transition into M&E if needed.
You'll work as part of a 4-person QS team supporting projects from initial tender through to final account.
Assist with the preparation of interim valuations and final accounts.
Support in the commercial administration of subcontracts, including payment notices and change management.
Help monitor project costs, variations, and commercial performance.
Attend site visits, meetings, and assist with project reporting.
Liaise with site teams and project managers to gather relevant commercial information.
Help prepare tender packages and cost plans as required.
Maintain accurate project records and documentation.
Degree qualified (or working towards) in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or a related field (preferred but not essential).
Experience in any construction sector (main contractor, subcontractor, civils, residential, etc.).
Strong numerical, analytical, and communication skills.
Keen interest in developing a long-term career within the M&E sector.
Good IT skills, particularly in Microsoft Excel and Word.
Proactive, eager to learn, and able to work within a collaborative team environment.
Salary of £30,000 - £40,000 depending on experience.
