Job description

A Vacancy at Manchester University NHS Foundation Trust.


Applications are invited for the above posts for a period of 12 months to support the Paediatric Neurosurgery services at the Royal Manchester Children’s Hospital.

Royal Manchester Children’s Hospital is one of the largest paediatric neurosurgical units in the UK. Not only do we provide specialist neurosurgical care for children from the Northwest of England, we also have patients from other parts of the UK and abroad.

Currently there are six Paediatric Neurosurgery Consultants, four middle grade staff including Specialty Doctors/Clinical Fellows. There is also five advanced care practitioners and two specialist nurses supporting the team.

To provide high-quality care to paediatric neurosurgical patients as part of a multidisciplinary team in a tertiary referral hospital and major trauma centre. The role involves managing both elective and emergency cases, participating in on-call duties, and contributing to research and teaching activities.

The post holder will be accountable to the Lead Clinician.
