Junior Lighting Controls Technician (DALI, D4i) – Milton Keynes

Are you from a STEM background with a genuine interest in technology, looking to develop a career in the Lighting Design industry? Do you have a fascination with technology, great communication skills, and you\'re looking for extensive training and role development with a business established for over 120 years that belongs to a global OEM?

This role will support the engineering, product marketing, and sales teams in delivering the lighting controls roadmap and providing technical expertise on all things related to lighting controls. This is a unique role in which the successful candidate will have the opportunity to become an in-house expert and the go-to person for lighting controls!

This role would be suited to someone with an electrical or electronics background who has some knowledge or experience working with DALI-based lighting controls and CMS systems.

Responsibilities

• Support the engineering, product marketing, and sales teams in delivering the lighting controls roadmap and providing technical expertise on all things related to lighting controls.
• Become the in-house expert and go-to person for lighting controls.
• Work with an electrical or electronics background and knowledge/experience with DALI-based lighting controls and CMS systems.
• Grasp an understanding of the autonomy of our controls portfolio (systems & devices).
• Ensure the lighting controls are compatible with the variety of the company\'s products and applications.
• Devise, carry out, and report compatibility tests to ensure controls will function as expected.
• Liaise with sales and customers to present solutions and define customer requirements.
• Compile and maintain standard work documentation to support the integration, installation, and assembly test instructions of control devices/systems.

The Person

• Knowledge of (or willingness to quickly grasp) DALI, D4i, and wireless lighting control systems.
• Ability to read and understand schematics, wiring diagrams, and engineering drawings.
