Job description

We are seeking a talented Junior Lighting and Compositing Artist for our 3D productions.

Role Overview: Our L&C artists excel in mood, lighting, and detail, focusing on tailored render layers, artistic colour grading, and meeting production deadlines while fulfilling client and director briefs. They are collaborative team players, sharing and developing technical and artistic skills to produce high-quality content.

Location & Start Date: The successful candidate must be based in the UK. The role is expected to commence in early May 2025, and the vacancy may close early if filled quickly.

Day-to-Day Responsibilities:
  1. Collaborate with a team of lighting and compositing artists, maintaining communication with your Team Lead and Supervisor.
  2. Manage your shots and schedule effectively to meet deadlines.
  3. Ensure clarity in your work from blocking to final animation.
  4. Act on feedback from Directors and Supervisors.
  5. Develop industry skills, both technical and creative.
About You:
Must Have:
  • Knowledge of atmospheric lighting, colour grading, and denoising renders.
  • Proficiency in Nuke for compositing render layers.
  • Positive attitude and eagerness to learn and develop skills.
  • Ability to accept feedback and follow directions.
  • Team player with strong collaboration skills.
  • Ability to work independently and reliably.
  • Creative problem-solving skills.
Bonus Points:
  • Knowledge of Python scripting.
