Job description

Overview

We’re looking for a curious, tech-comfortable problem-solver to join our Knowledge Management team as a Junior Legal Technologist. You don’t need a law degree—just a genuine interest in the legal industry, a knack for untangling challenges, and a desire to help shape how legal work gets done through smart use of technology.

This role is ideal for someone who enjoys planning and structure, is comfortable with digital tools, and thrives in a collaborative environment. You’ll support the Senior Legal Technologist in managing legal tech tools, coordinating pilots and working groups, and helping the firm get the most out of its technology—especially emerging GenAI solutions.

Responsibilities
  • Tool & Resource Management: Help maintain and organise legal tech tools, ensuring they’re used effectively and consistently across the firm.
  • Tracking & Coordination: Track contract renewals, usage data, and feedback for legal tech tools. Coordinate meetings and activities for pilot groups, AI working groups, and taskforces.
  • Product Evaluation: Assist in testing and scoring new tools, gathering user feedback, and preparing insights to support decision-making.
  • Process Support: Help prepare for renewal decisions by collating data, summarising usage trends, and supporting procurement processes.
  • Training & Documentation: Support the creation of clear, user-friendly training materials and guides. Help deliver training sessions and provide ongoing user support.
  • Research & Exploration: Stay curious—research new legal tech trends, especially GenAI, and share findings with the team.
Essential & Desirable Criteria

What We’re Looking For:

  • No legal qualification required, but a strong curiosity about how the legal industry works.
  • A natural problem-solver who enjoys figuring things out and making processes better.
  • Organised and structured, with a love for planning, checklists, and follow-through.
  • Tech-comfortable—you’re the one friends and family call when something won’t work.
  • Detail-oriented, with a focus on clarity, consistency, and accuracy.
  • A strong communicator, able to translate between technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Eager to learn, especially about legal tech, automation, and digital workflows.
  • Collaborative and adaptable, open to feedback and happy working as part of a team.

Bonus Points For:

  • Experience in legal tech, IT support, knowledge management, or similar roles (including internships or volunteer work).
  • Familiarity with tools like Microsoft 365, SharePoint, or project management platforms.
  • Interest in GenAI and how it’s transforming professional services.
