Job description

I am currently partnering with one of my longstanding, prestigious Law Firm clients on a new Junior Legal Cashier position. This is a really exciting opportunity for someone who is looking for their first role within Legal Finance. My client are incredibly passionate about the development and growth of the successful candidate so this is an amazing opportunity for someone early on in their career.

Key responsibilities:

· Operating the daily banking transactions for the firm's client account for bill payments, regularly monitoring the account via online banking and internal requests to ensure that all payments, receipts and transfers are dealt with in accordance with firm processes and SRA client money guidelines.

· Preparing daily bank reconciliations to ensure that a clear and accurate bank reconciliation report is promptly produced at each month end.

· Assisting the Senior Accounts Payable Officer when required with the firm's supplier transactions.

· Proactively helping the wider cashiering and credit control team particularly during busy periods and in times of absence.

· Assisting with the monitoring of the team email inboxes, ensuring that all requests are dealt with.

· Dealing with telephone and email requests from around the business or from clients to take payment of our invoices via credit card.

Skills and Experience:

· Excellent communication skills both written and verbal.

· Strong attention to detail and able to effectively manage and prioritise workloads during busy periods.

· Experience of using Word/Excel, online banking and practice management software.
