About The Role

We're looking for a Junior Kitchen Manager to join the Butlin's Buffet Department based in Bognor Regis.

Reporting to the Senior Kitchen Manager, you will support the running of the kitchen and lead a team of up to 40. Your focus will be on ensuring guest satisfaction by maintaining high standards of service, resource planning, recruitment, and team development.

You will monitor and improve the guest experience, manage food cost budgets through effective menu planning and standards, and ensure compliance with food hygiene, health, safety, and legislation.

You will serve as a role model, implementing training and performance development plans, and inspiring your team to deliver exceptional guest experiences. This role involves leading a team in our main buffet restaurant serving guests on a half-board dining package.

About You

We seek individuals with experience in a similar role or those looking to step up. You should be hardworking, reliable, and proactive in seeking improvements. Energetic, enthusiastic, high-spirited, and fun-loving candidates who understand their role in enhancing guest experiences are ideal.

You must have passed your Level 3 Food Safety qualification and be confident in leading a team in a fast-paced kitchen environment. Responsibilities include managing margins, controlling costs, and maintaining health, safety, and hygiene standards.

The successful candidate will be fun, team-oriented, and committed to ensuring guests have a great time. The role offers a 40-hour week, working five days over seven, with no split shifts, and finishing by 8 pm. It includes a bonus scheme.
