Fasanara Digital is seeking a Junior Java Software Developer to contribute to our 24/7 trading activity and to the development of a multi-venue collateral management platform. You will work under guidance from experienced engineers, focusing on both new development and maintaining existing systems in a collaborative fintech environment.

The role offers hands-on engineering experience in Java and Kotlin, with opportunities to learn about real-time systems, data integrations, and accounting

Qualifications

• 2+ years of professional software engineering experience.
• Professional Java or Kotlin development experience.
• Understanding of distributed systems concepts.
• Interest in real-time, event-driven, high-availability systems.
• OO programming, testing and version control fundamentals.
• Debugging and improving existing code with guidance.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Self-starter who works independently on well-defined tasks.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop, maintain, and enhance multi-venue collateral management system with guidance from experienced engineers.
• Contribute to improvements in distributed, real-time, and event-driven systems for reliability and availability.
• Build and maintain integrations with trading venues to source data (accounts, positions, collateral).
• Implement reference data frameworks and accounting pipelines for traditional and digital assets.
• Develop primarily in Java and Kotlin; participate in code reviews and technical discussions.
• Debug production code and develop new functionality with team support.
• Take initiative on well-defined tasks and raise blockers promptly.
• Collaborate with engineers to understand requirements and deliver practical solutions.
• Utilize AI-assisted tools to improve productivity and software quality.
