Junior Java Developer - Listed Derivatives

Summary

eClerx Markets is seeking a talented and motivated Java Developer to join our growing team. The role involves designing, developing, and implementing projects using Java.

Responsibilities

1. Lead and contribute to the development of a large OTC Client Clearing project, integrating with multiple clearing houses (CCPs) and middleware platforms.
2. Develop and deliver key components of transactional systems supporting complex clearing and post-clearing workflows.
3. Work on systems supporting diverse workflows using Java, Spring, Hibernate, Sybase/DB2, and MQ Series.
4. Design and implement test scenarios to ensure system robustness.
5. Contribute to the architecture of scalable, event-driven distributed systems.
6. Ensure high performance in multi-threaded environments.

Eligibility Requirements

1. Proficiency in Java, with a good understanding of multi-threading and core Java concepts.
2. Experience with large-scale distributed, event-driven systems.
3. Strong SQL skills and database design experience.
4. Proficiency in Unix/Linux environments.
5. Experience with Spring, Hibernate, XML, and build tools like Gradle.
6. Familiarity with Perl, C#, and Sybase/DB2.
7. Experience with messaging systems such as IBM MQ and TIBCO.
8. Knowledge of DevOps practices for continuous integration and deployment.
9. Ability to design effective test scenarios.
10. Knowledge of OTC Derivatives and front-end technologies.
11. Experience with derivative trade clearing systems like MarkitSERV, VCON, and ICE Link.
12. Strong communication skills and team coordination ability.
