New Directions Education are currently recruiting for a motivated and reliable Junior IT Technician to join a specialist SEND (Special Educational Needs and Disabilities) school with multiple sites across Liverpool. This is a full-time, long-term position with the potential to become permanent for the right candidate.

The School:
• A well-respected multi-site SEND school supporting pupils with a range of complex learning needs, including Autism, SEMH, and other additional needs.
• Rated ‘Good’ by Ofsted, with particular praise for its inclusive environment, strong staff support systems, and commitment to pupil development.
• The school fosters a nurturing, safe, and technology-enabled learning environment where every student can thrive.

The Role:
• Full-time role providing first-line IT support to staff and students across the school’s various sites.
• Assist in maintaining and troubleshooting hardware (PCs, laptops, tablets, printers, interactive whiteboards, etc.).
• Provide software support, including user access, updates, and installations across school systems.
• Respond to IT support tickets and escalate more complex issues to the senior IT technician or external support providers.

The Ideal Candidate Will:
• Have a genuine interest in IT and a desire to learn and grow within a school environment.
• Have some experience with IT support (e.g., through work experience, education, or a previous role).
• Be confident using Windows operating systems, Microsoft Office, and basic networking knowledge.
• Be flexible and able to travel between sites when required (mileage/travel between sites may be covered by the school).
• Hold an enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or be willing to apply for one via New Directions Education).
