About The Role

Job Overview:

We are seeking a Junior Software Engineer/Developer with experience in Next.js/React, JavaScript, TypeScript, and C#. The ideal candidate will also have a good understanding of MySQL, with some exposure to Azure or other cloud computing platforms being a bonus. This role is perfect for someone with a few years of hands-on experience, looking to grow their skills while contributing to exciting projects in a collaborative team.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Develop and maintain web applications using Next.js/React, focusing on performance and scalability.
2. Work with teams to integrate applications with APIs and databases, particularly using MySQL.
3. Write clean, maintainable code using JavaScript, TypeScript, and C#.
4. Participate in code reviews and contribute ideas for improvement.
5. Report to and work closely with the Lead Software Engineer to meet project goals and timelines.

Preferred Skills:

1. Practical experience with Next.js/React for web development.
2. Familiarity with JavaScript, TypeScript, and C#.
3. Experience working with MySQL databases.
4. A portfolio demonstrating relevant projects and skills.
5. Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively in a team environment.
6. Ability to work in a hybrid remote/office environment at our Wolverhampton NDC (3 days office, 2 home).
7. Some knowledge of Azure or other cloud platforms is a plus.
8. Familiarity with version control systems (e.g., Git).
