We are looking to hire a Junior IT Engineer to join our Enterprise Services Team in Technology. This is a challenging, fast-paced, and exciting environment, with plenty of opportunities to influence and grow within the technology area. Responsibilities include:
- Providing technical support and troubleshooting assistance for IT systems, infrastructure, and services, including servers, networks, and end-user devices.
- Monitoring and maintaining the performance, availability, and security of IT end-user systems and services, proactively identifying and addressing potential issues and vulnerabilities.
- Configuring, deploying, and managing IT systems and services to support business operations, ensuring scalability, reliability, and security, while promoting innovation and efficiency.
- Collaborating with other IT teams, departments, and stakeholders to implement IT projects, initiatives, and enhancements, ensuring alignment with organizational goals.
- Participating in the planning, design, and implementation of IT solutions, including hardware, software, and cloud-based services, to meet evolving organizational needs.
- Documenting technical configurations, procedures, and troubleshooting guidelines for IT systems and services for reference and training purposes.
- Assisting with user training and support activities to help end-users utilize IT systems effectively, resolve technical issues, and optimize productivity.
- Staying current with emerging technologies, industry trends, and best practices related to IT systems, infrastructure, and services, and applying this knowledge for continuous improvement.
- Providing technical guidance to other IT team members, serving as a subject matter expert in specific areas of IT systems and services.
Required skills:
- Working knowledge of end-user computing and networking troubleshooting (TCP/IP, DNS, SMTP).
- Experience with IT infrastructure, systems administration, network management, and end-user support services.
- Experience with Service Management or Ticketing Tools like Jira Service Management, ServiceNow.
- Experience with IDP platforms like Okta, Azure.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Ability to analyze business processes, procedures, and training materials.
- Analytical and problem-solving skills.
- A service-oriented attitude.
- Ability to drive change and handle difficult situations.
- Problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency in deploying and managing IT systems and services in heterogeneous environments, including Windows, Linux, and cloud platforms.
Nice-to-have skills:
- Experience with network devices such as Fortigate, Ubiquiti, Cisco.
- Experience with MDM platforms like Jamf Pro, Workspace One, Microsoft Endpoint Manager.
- Experience with Google Workspace.
- Scripting skills in PowerShell, Bash, or Python.
- Understanding of APIs.
- Understanding of client-server and web-based application architectures.
- Ability to design and implement practical solutions for complex requirements, including hands-on project implementation.
