The role holder will support a wide range of architectural activities across the Group Architecture Practice. These include providing support to our Business Architecture, IT Architecture Delivery, and Technology Governance capabilities through activities like running discovery workshops, synthesising design inputs, applying simple design patterns, assuring simpler designs, and working with architecture tooling.

What you'll be doing

  2. Assure Solutions – Supporting assurance processes to ensure solutions meet business needs and minimize risk. Evaluating simple solutions against pre-defined assessment criteria.
  3. Accurate Documentation and Record Keeping – Producing architecture artefacts, such as high-level designs and key decision documents. Ensuring enterprise architecture tooling records are updated and accurate.
  4. Solutions Delivery – Collaborating with project teams and Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) to support delivery, e.g., assurance of lower-level designs.
  5. Provide Clarity on Architecture Processes and Services – Offering guidance on architecture access, services, and engagement points.
  6. Improving the Discipline – Supporting initiatives to mature the architecture discipline, such as tooling improvements or process optimizations.
  7. Ensuring Business and System Changes Follow Best Practices – Making sure changes adhere to proper processes and methodologies, including IT Change Management Standards.
Qualifications
  • Appropriate qualifications in technical change or technology-related subjects are desirable but not essential. An academic background in technical subjects is also desirable.
  • An understanding of architecture and its value addition.
  • Knowledge in technical subjects (e.g., data, systems, software, engineering) is a plus.
  • Understanding of technology trends.
  • A curiosity for architecture.
Experience
  • Effective communication with stakeholders, adapting style and content as necessary.
  • Experience working with technical teams (e.g., engineering, software, security, change management).
