We're hiring a Junior AV Installation Engineer to join a long-standing and respected AV integrator supporting schools, councils, and commercial environments across Scotland.
This is a hands-on, site-based role where you’ll work closely with experienced engineers, learn on the job, and become part of a friendly, high-performing engineering team of 16.
The Role:
Working closely with senior engineers and reporting to the Install Manager, you'll be involved in:
• Installing cabling and containment systems to a high standard
• Assisting with mounting and commissioning AV equipment (audio/video systems)
• Updating job records via a cloud-based system
• Learning to demonstrate AV systems to clients
• Supporting the wider install team and collaborating with other departments
• Attending project meetings and representing the team onsite
What We're Looking For:
• 12+ months’ experience in AV, electrical work, or a similar hands-on technical role
• Interest in AV systems and eagerness to develop technical skills
• Basic understanding of audio & video signal flow is a plus
• Willingness to learn about AV technologies like RS232, Dante, VoIP, IR, TCP/IP
• Comfortable with basic cable terminations: VGA, BNC, RCA, XLR, RJ45, etc.
• Ability to interpret technical drawings and schematics is a bonus
Essential:
• Full UK Driving Licence
• ECS Card (or willing to obtain)
• Willing to complete Disclosure Scotland clearance
• Positive “can do” attitude and willingness to learn
• Organised, self-motivated and able to work under guidance
