Overview

Junior Information Security Consultant - Canary Wharf/London - Hybrid - To 35,000

Global client has a fantastic opportunity to work with their existing team to manage the portfolio of security controls. This includes level 1 triage of alerts, performing daily checks across multiple security systems, managing and maintaining technical controls to meet security requirements, and implementing approved configuration changes.

Responsibilities
  • Perform level 1 triage of security alerts and daily checks across multiple security systems.
  • Manage and maintain technical security controls to meet specific security requirements and implement approved configuration changes.
  • Work with information security leadership to deploy agreed changes to security requirements and address identified security risks.
  • Raise information security awareness and support training activities.
  • Assist in the coordination and completion of information security operations documentation.
  • Collaborate on IT projects to ensure that security issues are addressed throughout the project life cycle.
  • Advise security administrators on normal and exception-based processing of security authorization requests.
  • Research and evaluate new threats and advise on necessary communications or additional controls to counter these.
  • Manage ServiceNow tickets assigned to security team members and escalate when deadlines are likely to be missed.
  • Incident Detection and Response: provide 1st and 2nd line support and analysis during and after a security incident while ensuring guidelines for recording security incidents are followed.
Qualifications and Requirements
  • Typically 2+ years of relevant work experience; some knowledge of IT security demonstrated through work experience or qualifications.
  • Knowledge and understanding of information risk concepts and principles to relate business needs to security controls.
  • Technical knowledge of mainstream operating systems (mainly Microsoft Windows) and understanding of security technologies such as network security appliances, identity and access management (IAM) systems, anti-malware solutions, and desktop security tools.
  • Basic knowledge of network infrastructure and risk assessment methods and technologies.
Salary, Benefits and Location

This is a superb career opportunity with a salary of up to 35,000 plus bonus up to 10%, with salary reviews up to 10%.
