Job summary

Hydrogen Group is recruiting a Legal Counsel for an international energy business with a dynamic in-house legal team. Reporting to the Group General Counsel, you will support corporate governance, major agreements, and cross-border projects.

Ideal candidates are junior corporate or energy/projects lawyers seeking in-house exposure to large commercial projects and global governance. Collaboration with global teams and external advisers will be routine.

Qualifications

• Qualified Solicitor in England & Wales with 1–2 years PQE.
• Experience in corporate, transactional, or energy law.
• Strong drafting capabilities.
• Commercially minded with the ability to prioritise in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent interpersonal and stakeholder management skills.

Responsibilities

• Deliver pragmatic legal counsel across M&A, joint ventures, commercial agreements, project development, construction, and offtake arrangements.
• Support corporate governance initiatives, board reporting, and management of occasional contentious matters.
• Partner with key commercial stakeholders across business units to support growth and day-to-day operations.
• Instruct and manage external advisers to ensure cost-effective handling aligned with strategic goals.
