Junior Herdsperson
Derbyshire - Competitive Salary dependent on experience + Accommodation

The Job:

We are working with a well-run dairy business in Derbyshire to recruit a Junior Herdsperson. This is a great opportunity for someone with hands-on experience who is looking to build a long-term career in the dairy sector.

  1. Twice daily milking using a modern rotary system
  2. Day-to-day livestock care including feeding, bedding, calving, and youngstock work
  3. Assisting with herd health routines and administering treatments as directed
  4. Maintaining high standards of cleanliness and animal welfare
  5. Carrying out routine yard duties and general farm work
The Company:

The farm runs a well-established and efficient dairy operation with a high-health herd and modern facilities. They offer a supportive team environment and the chance to grow and develop within a progressive setup.

The Candidate:
  • At least 2 years' experience in milking
  • Confident working with calves and interested in all aspects of stock care
  • Hard working and reliable with a positive attitude
  • Willing to work early mornings and alternate weekends (5 days one week, 7 the next)
  • Able to travel to site or happy to relocate (on-farm accommodation is available)
