The Job:

We are working with a well-run dairy business in Derbyshire to recruit a Junior Herdsperson. This is a great opportunity for someone with hands-on experience who is looking to build a long-term career in the dairy sector.

  • Twice-daily milking using a modern rotary system
  • Day-to-day livestock care including feeding, bedding, calving, and youngstock work
  • Assisting with herd health routines and administering treatments as directed
  • Maintaining high standards of cleanliness and animal welfare
  • Carrying out routine yard duties and general farm work
The Company:

The farm runs a well-established and efficient dairy operation with a high-health herd and modern facilities. They offer a supportive team environment and the chance to grow and develop within a progressive setup.

The Candidate:
  • At least 2 years' experience in milking
  • Confident working with calves and interested in all aspects of stock care
  • Hard-working and reliable with a positive attitude
  • Willing to work early mornings and alternate weekends (5 days one week, 7 the next)
  • Able to travel to site or happy to relocate (on-farm accommodation is available)
