Job summary

4Square Recruitment Ltd in Winchester is seeking a Junior / Graduate Electrical Engineer to join a growing Building Services team. You’ll gain hands-on project exposure and learn from experienced engineers on live projects.

You’ll design electrical building services systems, assist with lighting, power, fire alarms, and produce calculations, drawings and documentation. A genuine interest in Building Services/MEP is essential, with good communication and teamwork.

Qualifications

• Degree/HND/HNC in Electrical Engineering, Building Services Engineering or related discipline.
• Genuine interest in Building Services/MEP design.
• Good communication and problem-solving skills.

Are you an Electrical Engineering graduate looking to start your career in Building Services?

We’re working with a growing Building Services company that is looking to bring a Junior / Graduate Electrical Engineer into its team.

This is a great opportunity to join an experienced engineering team where you’ll get genuine exposure to live projects, learn from senior engineers and develop your technical skills rather than spending your first year stuck doing the boring stuff nobody else wants to do.

What you’ll be doing:

• Assisting with the design of electrical building services systems
• Working on lighting, power, fire alarms and other electrical systems
• Producing calculations, drawings and technical documentation
• Supporting projects from initial concept through to completion
• Working alongside Mechanical Engineers and other members of the design team
• Attending site visits and project meetings
• Developing your knowledge of industry standards and regulations

What we’re looking for:

• Degree/HND/HNC in Electrical Engineering, Building Services Engineering or a related discipline
• A genuine interest in Building Services / MEP design
• Good communication and problem-solving skills
• Comfortable working as part of a technical team
• Any experience with AutoCAD, Revit or electrical design software would be useful, but isn’t essential
• Graduate applicants are absolutely encouraged to apply
