You will have completed a period of training, whether that be a formal apprenticeship / similar level qualification, or have been working in a reputable fine jewellery workshop for at least 4 - 5 years.
We believe that the Goldsmiths and Diamond Mounters of the future will be multi disciplined, whether that be goldsmithing skills alongside proficiency in CAD, setting or other specialisms. Some understanding of CAD or setting would therefore be beneficial, although not crucial, as training will be provided.
You will be competent at cleaning up and assembling castings with multiple components. A good ability with resizes and alterations and a solid foundation of handmaking skills are preferable, but again training will be provided to nurture these areas. You will have a high standard of finishing and demonstrate consideration for this throughout the making process.
You will be enthusiastic, motivated and have a keen desire to develop your skills. You will have excellent attention to detail and a passion for craftsmanship. Communication and team work are critical – we are a small team and depend on each other being adaptable, versatile and willing to help out where needed.
The position would be available to start in January 2027.
It is a full time, in person role, an fully employed capacity.
Salary will be dependent on experience.
