Job summary

Imperial College London in London is seeking a Junior Analytical Technician to contribute to a multidisciplinary project developing a breath test for early detection of GI cancers (oesophageal, gastric, liver, pancreatic and colorectal). You will organize analytical runs on GC-FID, maintain LIMS per the quality system, and perform daily instrument quality checks while supporting breath analysis workflows.

Qualifications

• A-levels or degree in relevant scientific subjects are required, with some work experience in a technical/scientific role.
• Experience with analytical instrumentation or similar laboratory environments is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Organise analytical runs on GC-FID and report results.
• Keep the LIMS up to date in line with the quality management system.
• Run daily instrument quality control checks.
• Support day-to-day running of the analytical lab focusing on breath analysis workflow.
