Williams Commerce is seeking a Junior Frontend Developer to join our growing digital team. You will work with designers, backend developers, and project managers to build high-quality, user-friendly websites.

We offer a supportive, fast-paced environment with hybrid work: 4 days in the Leicester office and 1 day remote within the UK. Ideal for early-career developers looking to grow their skills.

Qualifications

• Proficient in HTML5, CSS3 and JavaScript (ES6+).
• Experience writing scalable CSS (Sass, BEM or equivalent).
• Experience with jQuery and vanilla JavaScript for UI components.
• Basic WordPress theme work or familiarity with another CMS (Drupal, Craft, Contentful).
• Comfort with Git and version control.
• Understanding responsive design, accessibility, and cross-browser compatibility.
• Familiarity with Timber/Twig or basic PHP.

Responsibilities

• Develop responsive, accessible, and performant user interfaces.
• Collaborate with UX/UI designers to translate designs into web components.
• Maintain and improve existing codebases and contribute to new projects.
• Participate in code reviews and follow coding standards.
