Job summary

Orbit Fab is seeking a Graduate Fluid Systems Engineer to contribute to the development of technologies and fluid systems enabling in-orbit refuelling. You will work with experienced engineers across the lifecycle, gaining exposure to system architecture, hardware design, build, integration, testing and delivery.

A strong candidate has a solid foundation in engineering principles, an interest in space technology and a hands-on approach to solving problems.

Qualifications

  • Degree in mechanical, aerospace, chemical engineering or related field.
  • Solid grounding in fluid systems, thermodynamics, fluid mechanics, heat transfer or propulsion.
  • Demonstrated interest in space systems and fluid systems through coursework, projects or internships.

Responsibilities

  • Assist development of fluid system architectures for in-orbit refuelling missions.
  • Perform engineering analysis and modelling to support fluid system design.
  • Develop designs from concept through prototyping and testing with guidance.
  • Produce engineering calculations, models and documentation under supervision.
  • Support system requirements and verification plan development.
  • Contribute to trade studies and evaluation of design options.
  • Participate in component and subsystem test campaigns.
  • Take an active role in build, integration and testing of development hardware.
