Job summary

A fire safety specialist in Bury is seeking a Junior Fire & Security Service Engineer to service and maintain fire alarm systems. The role requires some experience in servicing fire alarm systems and a logical approach to fault finding. Job description

We re hiring for a Junior Fire & Security Service Engineer to join a rapidly growing and reputable fire safety specialist based in Bury, Greater Manchester.

In this role, you ll be responsible for servicing, maintaining, and carrying out remedial works on a range of Fire Detection & Alarm Systems and associated life safety systems.

What will you be doing as a Junior Fire & Security Service Engineer?

  • Servicing and maintaining fire alarm systems and life safety equipment
  • Diagnosing faults during callouts and restoring full system functionality
  • Following health & safety procedures and company standards at all times
  • Representing the company professionally with strong customer service
  • Completing all paperwork clearly, accurately, and on time
  • Taking part in the on–call rota with your local service team

What do you need?

  • Some experience or training in servicing fire alarm systems (or a strong interest in developing this skill)
  • A basic understanding of security systems like intruder alarms, CCTV, or access control (full training provided)
  • A logical approach to fault finding and problem solving
  • A full UK driving licence
  • A valid DBS certificate or willingness to obtain one
