deVOL Kitchens is one of the leading and most highly regarded kitchen companies in the UK, with manufacturing and design offices based in Leicestershire, London, Bath, and New York.

We are looking for highly motivated, capable, and friendly people to join our rapidly growing team of highly experienced Workshop Assistants and Wood Finishers in our Filling & Sanding Department.

Your role will involve:

  • Prepping of wooden components ready for coating, ensuring a flawless finish that meets our exceptional standards.
  • Maintaining equipment.
  • Ensuring work is completed on time while maintaining high attention to detail.
  • Organising and transporting finished components to other departments.
  • Helping our sanding and spray line team out when necessary, developing a deeper understanding of the finishing process.
  • Heavy Lifting as part of the day to day tasks.

We would love you to:

  • Work effectively to adhere to all deadlines.
  • Be punctual and logically minded.
  • Be hard working and have a strong eye for detail.
  • Be able to identify and solve problems as they arise, ensuring a seamless workflow.
  • Have good time management skills.
  • Have some previous experience, in a finishing role (advantageous), with a willingness to develop your skills further.

This role will include lots of manual handling and standing for long periods. You'll have the opportunity to refine your wood preparation and finishing techniques, working as part of a dedicated team that takes pride in producing high quality components.

We offer a competitive salary and during your first year, you will receive training in the role and performance appraisals where your pay will be reviewed. After this, we offer annual pay reviews and continued support from the team.

You will receive 22 days of annual leave (plus bank holidays) which can increase with length of service and experience, as well as life insurance, a wellness program, cycle 2 work scheme and company events.
