Our client is an exciting and growing European LNG Trading business situated in the heart of London.

Due to continued growth, they are looking to add a Part Qualified Junior Financial Controller to the team. The successful candidate will be given the opportunity to grow and develop.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Assist in reviewing monthly management accounts, providing insights and recommendations to the financial reporting team
• Ensure timely and accurate upload of financial data into the Group Reporting System (HFM), maintaining consistency across reporting periods.
• Conduct intercompany reconciliations to ensure the accuracy of consolidated financial statements across group entities.

Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A)

• Support the Financial Controller in the annual budget process, gathering inputs from various departments
• Contribute to the preparation of the monthly reporting pack, including budget vs. actual analysis and re-forecasting of financial results

Process Improvement & Support

• Deliver ad-hoc financial analysis and reporting to leadership and group stakeholders as required
• Assist in maintaining internal control processes, ensuring compliance with policies and accurate documentation

SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS:

• Demonstrated commitment to professional development and progress toward qualification (ACA, ACCA, CIMA)
• Proficient in IT systems, with experience in NetSuite, HFM (Hyperion Financial Management), and a strong working knowledge of Excel.
• An understanding of IFRS, with preferred experience in IAS 2, IFRS 9, and IFRS 16, ideally gained in a commodities or shipping environment.
• Proficiency in Polish is desirable and may enhance communication with specific stakeholders
